Soweta and Apartheid

Tuesday, 12/13 we ventured all around JoBurg.  We had a guide and a driver who enlightened us to the in's and out's of JoBurg.   We ventured to Soweto (southwest township area of the city) which is where 4 million people still live. This is where Nelson and Winnie Mandela and Desmond Tutu are all from. Thousands of people still live in the shanty town area shacks.

After visiting Soweta we were educated in the world of Apartheid and Nelson Mandela, a wonderful man who changed the face of South Africa.  Count your blessings, we have no idea how lucky we are to enjoy the freedom we have; and have always had! Enjoy the pics. KB
